Well, I can answer one half of it. It will never be "MA Compliant". Taurus has no pistols on the EOPS roster and doesn't have any intention of ever adding any to it, for starters. As far as the non quality of the gun goes. ...GADSDEN, Alabama -- An Etowah County Circuit Court jury on Thursday awarded a 28-year-old Boaz man a $1.25 million judgment in an unintended gun.I am thinking about getting one of these guns. I was wondering if anybody had any thoughts about them. I am not too worried about getting a light.I have found in dry fire practice that I can keep the muzzle more stable if I slide my firing hand (right hand) as far up the grip as possible, and.The jury awarded the judgment to Adam Maroney in a lawsuit against Taurus International Manufacturing. The lawsuit, originally filed on Feb. 13, 2007, involved the unintended discharge of a PT111 9mm Millennium Taurus handgun in 2005. ...Have you read of the many and varied opinions on the Taurus Judge handgun? It is a 45lc/.410 shotshell pistol. I do not have one, but did consider one for similar reasons to the "carjacker" one you posted. You might find researching it ...Taurus has introduced a handgun that may just be the ideal trail gun/home defense weapon/car gun – its very versatile for short distance targets. This new Taurus is chambered for the .45 colt cartridge and .410 shotgun rounds. ...For those of you who haven't been around guns for very long, Taurus has a long and sordid history with its quality control measures. About half the people you talk to in real life either swear by or swear at Taurus handguns. ...Finally got my Mom convinced to get her permit to carry and a pistol !! So, now to have her try different models at the range.. I'm thinking something in .380 or 9mm. Single stack mag. Small but potent.. Any suggestions ? Bersa, Taurus ...Autenrieth then produced a 9 mm semi-automatic Taurus handgun and fired three shots — hitting Trooper Miller twice and Trooper Lombardo once. The two troopers returned fire, hitting Autenrieth eight times. ...
taurus makes a model 856 38spl+p-6 shot 2".-22 oz. revolver, anyone know if the taurus is a reliable gun [good or not so good] i have a s/w 10-5 - 2" but not +p. taurus also makes mod. 817 - 7 shot 21oz +p. i want a concealed i can carry in pocket. they have blued or matte stainless steel finish. guess stainless is better. info. or ideas appreciated
I've been shooting glocks for the past 15 years and never had this problem. I just got a new Taurus PT1911 ( yes I know its a cheap clone, but I don't have 2 grand to drop on a Springfield) and after shooting around two mags I noticed the spent casing popping over my head. I then started practicing double taps and the casing were hitting my forehead and one of the hot cases dropped between my left eyelid and glasses. Now I have a nice little burn mark over my left eye. This is my first 1911 style handgun, so my question is do I need to replace the extractor pin or just get it tuned by a gunsmith? Can I tune it myself? I plan on taking the gun to a gunsmith to get the ambisafety replaced with a single one, so I guess I might as well order a new extractor pin too. Is this typical with 1911 guns?
Which Taurus would you recommend for a conceled carry weapon?
What do you think of their quality?
They have a lifetime warranty.
Ok I wanted to kno something about the va gun laws I recently had someone purchase me a taurus 45 handgun I kno that I can not purchase the gun myself because I am not 21 I am only 19 years old is it legal for me to have in my car and to carry if it is not loaded
any comments stories about taurus 22 hand guns? wat did u think of it would u recomend it?
I recently learned that my 1911 is a bit difficult to find a holster for due to the fact that it has an accessory rail. Could someone please tell me a website that sells holsters for 1911 handguns that have accessory rails. I really want a Serpa Blackhawk tactical holster but i'm not sure if they fit my type of weapon. Anyways...someone please help!
i want to use it for target practice but i want it dead accurate so i can hit anything from as far away as possible i want it to be a handgun with as many extras as possible (flashlight laser silencer) I am thinking of purchasing the Cybergun taurus Pt because of good reviews and they say it is accurate i do not want a gas gun soo i want it electric or spring pleeezzz answer i have to get it quick
I want to buy a new handgun but I can't decide which one between the Taurus PT 1911 or the Beretta PX4 Storm in 40 cal. Does anyone own any of these handguns or both? I need some opinions to help me make decision. The main reason to buy one is for self defense.
Hubby and I only have two handguns for protection and sport:
A Browning 9x19mm Hi-Power, also known as the GP (Grande Puissance) 35 and a Taurus Millennium series PT145 pistol.
I don't think Jesus would own anything flashy or high range... but he would go american I think.
glock 17-19-26
taurus 24/7 pro 9mm
smith and wesson sigma 9mm
smith and wesson .38 revolver
springfield xdm 9mm
or any other great 9mm gun, any recoomendations on best quality
I have been asking alot of questions about handguns so if i get repeative please forgive me. I am going to moer than likely buy a hand gun tomorrow and i will be looking at these 3 for sure if you can reccomend any other specifics ones i would appreicate. I definetly want a 40 or 45 and i would like it to cost under 650. I am looking at the desert eagle baby eagle in the 40, taurus 24/7 in the 40 and a springfield XD in 40 or 45. I want one with a manual safety that you slide something other than the safety on the trigger or handle. No i do not want a revolver so please dont recommend one. Alot of people have said glocks were great but all the ones i say at gander mountain didnt have the safety i was looking for they all had the trigger safety. Thanks
I would like a gun that is easy to take apart and clean also i would like it to be able to shoot reloads. Do any of the three i listed above shot reloads?
Looking at several different handguns. I've heard people on both sides of the durability issue and i wanted to try to find some hard evidence.
I would like to hear from taurus handgun owners. I am interested in these two pistols...Im leaning more towards the model 92, but it is a large gun and a bit more expensive. Can anyone tell me about these two firearms (reliability, accuracy, recoil, etc.)?
Looking for reliability and only in a rimfire round handgun. Not looking for a Buckmark, Ruger Mark III, etc.-- great guns but too "targety." Something like a Beretta Bobcat or Taurus, but I'm concerned about their reliablity (or lack thereof). Revolver or auto is OK. Old is fine too, but the smaller, the lighter, and the more reliable, the better. What to look for?
I am looking to trade my Glock 19 (9mm) for a Taurus pt145 (.45) for my everyday carry handgun. I have just heard so many bad things about the 9mm that it almost scares me to carry it. Whether it be the "lack of punch", or the overpenetration of the round. I have heard great things about the 45 and also, it is a sub compact pistol as well. Thank you
I'm most interested in these ten. I am looking for something that carries at least 15 rounds, is lightweight, easy to conceal, and is made of excellent quality for a price that won't make me go broke.
Please rank from best to worst.
1. Glock-19
2. FNP-9
3. Sig P-250
4. Springfield XD-9
5. Ruger SR-9
6. Walther PPS
7. Smith & Wesson M&P-9
8. Taurus 24/7 PRO
9. Beretta 92fs
10. Beretta Px4 Storm
Which is most accurate
I am gonna go hiking this weekend in the mountains of western North carolina should I take my sig saur p220 45 with plus p ammo or do I need to borrow my dads Taurus 44 mag tracker .....the sig holds 8+1 45 apc the 44 mag only holds 5 rounds???
im better with the 45 ive shot some idpa with it ,the 44 ive shot at the range
Based on your recommendations, here is the list that I came up with so far:
Sig P250
Ruger SR9/P95
Glock 17, 19 (C)
Springfield XD-9/XD-M
Beretta 92FS, 90two
CZ 75 and variants
FNP9
Taurus Millennium Pro
S&W Sigma
Does anyone have any objections with this list? Are there any that I should add or subtract? If so, why?
Can anybody give me a review of this .45 handgun?
Basically its the gun, case, two magazines,40 rounds of hollow points,a conceal carry holster for 300 bucks. he said i can pay half now and half in two weeks when i get paid again. i dont really need the gun and its a nice gun but i just wanted to know if it was a good deal that i should jump on. its in very good condition. anyone have any experience with this handgun
Looking for Samurai Edge (Resident Evil handgun) grips for sale or someone who can custom make them for a Taurus PT 92 or PT 99
Which ones do you like and why?
I have a Taurus .45 and I was happy with both accuracy and the power. But today I got myself a Ruger Blackhawk .44 magnum...much more power, and more accurate. I frankly love it. The .44 mag impact I like, and the ruger's grip/feel, accuracy, etc. is very satisfying.
What higher caliber handguns do you prefer, and why?
Tuarus PT945 .45 ACP Taurus PT92 AF 9mm
Taurus Single Action .357 Magnum/.38 Special
Ruger Single Action .22LR/.22Mag
recently i found myself looking at 9mm pistols. I started out looking mostly at the XD9 line of handguns but thought of everything that the Taurus 99 has that the springfield doesn't. I definitely like the looks better on the Taurus but I like the Springfields looks alright too. My question is is there that big of a difference in the reliability department to spend the extra 50 dollars on the Springfield? They feel about the same and I like them about equal. and if i decide that i dont like either one i can trade it in for the same price I paid because after all my great uncle owns the shop.
due to a birth defect. I would also like to be able to shoot it if possible. She has faily large hands for a female just short thumbs. Would prefer used due to the cost in a 9mm or greater. Was looking taurus but not sure about what is good for her. This would be for concealed carry. Should I go short barrel? or full size?
I have a Taurus PT1911. I know how to take off the slide and clean it, but do I need to dissassemble the 'hammer pin' and whole handle area and its many parts to clean it? Or just the slide and barrel?
*sorry- don't know the proper terminology.
witch one is better it will be used at the range and eventually to get my concealed handgun license. i am no stranger to guns i have been hunting and shooting my whole life. i already own a shotgun but i want a new handgun.
I'm looking at handguns for home defense, and liked the Taurus Judge. It's a handheld gun that fires shotgun shells. I just don't want to shoot an intruder and piss him off!!!!!! I want to stop him from hurting me or my family!!!!
I am getting ready to enter a police academy and need advice on which handgun to purchase. I don't want a revolver and don't have a fortune to spend. $300 or so. I don't want to buy a hi-point because of bad reviews, but I can not afford a Taurus, because they are almost $500. What is a good in between gun. Oh, 9mm or .380
Glock? H&K? Springfield XD9? Sig? Ruger? Beretta? Taurus? Doesnt matter whether its metal or polymer framed i just want the BEST somethin that is reliable. Any other brands im open to but i want the overall BEST
Im fairly familiar with handguns, used them im the past but Ive been looking at purchasing one for myself. Mainly be for home defense and to take to the range from time to time, Ive been interested in the Glock 19, only thing holding holding me back is price, im trying to find a suitable alternative for around $400 or less and have been looking at the S&W Sigmas and the Taurus 24/7. Ive heard mixed reviews on the Sigmas from very reliable to not at all and almost everyone says they have a hard trigger pull, on the 24/7s Ive heard mostly good things except there is a common problem with the safety, any advice? Knowing me I'll probably end up just coughing up the extra couple hundred bucks and go with the glock but how do these 2 stack up against the Glock as far as reliability, ease of use and maintenance?
I would like to hear from anyone who owns a taurus model 92 handgun. I am interested in purchasing one and would like some reviews. Thanks for your time.
just bought my first 38 special, I own other handguns and also reload my own ammo. According to the speer reloading manual, it only goes up to 125 gr. is this maybe the highest grain round that speer makes, or how big of a round can I use?
I'm a little new to handguns but I just got a Taurus PT 1911 .45 acp. I want to keep it nice/clean. When I clean it, do I just need to clean the barrel and chamber? Or do I need to disassemble the whole thing and clean every part? And how often to I need to do this- every couple hundred rounds? I bought some Rem Oil and Hoppes solvent too. Thanks
i was looking at the taurus 25 acp the Beretta Px4 Storm
just wanting to know what people think about these different brands cuz im going to buy a pistol and im wondering what is the best as far as reliablility/ accuracy/ range / durability /handleing and knock down power. this is for home defence for the most part, thanks for the input guys..here are a couple im looking at off of the academy website

I am turning 21 in a few months and am trying to decide on a handgun to buy. I have narrowed it down to a few choices so far and was wondering if anyone that owned these guns could tell me a little bit about what you think (pros and cons), not crap like "the glock will never break!". I know that obviouslly but I am never going to throw it off a mountain or drive over it with a pick-up or bury it in mud. I am just going to use it for target shooting and personal defense. So here are the guns:
Glock- did not decide which model, either full size or compact, and either 9mm or .40 cal.
Springfield XDM- same, either 9mm or .40 cal.
Taurus 24/7 OSS Tactical- .45ACP, 5.25 in barell, 12+1 round capacity
I am leaning more towards the Taurus just because it feels best holding it in my hands but I have heard that some are lemons and do not work right. However they have a lifetime warranty and people say that once they send them back to get fixed then they shoot great. If I do get a .45 or a .40 then I will probably get a 9mm down the road for something cheaper to shoot. Thanks in advance for your opinion.
Does any one know the Cost of the The Judge Handgun from Taurus?
I have purchased the Taurus model 416 41mag 6.5 barrel. Would like to know the best load to use. The handgun will be used for the deterrent against bear and mountain lion.
I am an Avid bow hunter and would like some advise as to the handgun to purchase. The handgun would mainly be used as a deterrent for bear and mountain lion to prevent any surprises from 10 to 30 yards on there part. I have looked at the S&W 357 mag model 686pp 6" barrel, the Taurus Raging Bull 41mag model 416 6.5" barrel, and the Taurus 357mag model 608 6 1/2" barrel. Would appreciate any advise
I live in NJ where getting a handgun is a major undertaking. I applied and recieved 2 permits recently.
The first gun I got was the Bersa .380
I am thinking revolver for the second gun, probably chambered in .357 I don't want to spend $1000 either.
the local shop has lots of Taurus and S&W, but I haven't looked close.
Anybody have something else they like or recommend?
I like the compact and small frame guns - hence the .380.
I have a friend offering me his gp100- what should i pay for it?
i have a savage 22 semi auto with scope, and a savage single shot/ break away 12 gauge...both are used but in great condition
