.410 derringer

I own the American Arms .45/.410 derringer , all I can say is practice , practice and more practice shooting this weapon if you buy one ! The point of impact with an over and under derringer is very different from shooting a revolver ! ...Got a bunch of new goodies coming in and bills I hadn't expected this week so this puppy has to go. would like to obtain these rounds for my Cobray/leinad 45/410 Derringer double barrel, Does anyone know if you can used standard 45 shells in this gun?


I was thinking about getting some .410 sabot's for my 4 1/4" Bond Arms Derringer in the hopes that it would kill a black bear, I go hiking in the backwoods of WV a lot and would like some protection.


I've noticed that the Taurus judge and derringers chambered in .410/.45Colt aren't available in California.

Anyone care to enlighten me as to why this is?


instead of the .410 bore? will i just blow my hand off?

Almost any caliber is available including 410 shot.


So, I'm thinking about getting one to stick in my sock(ankle holster) for the times that a belt holster and a larger weapon aren't appropriate.

So what can you tell me about the model 1? Is it reliable? Is it accurate? Can it take 3" .410 shells?

I understand this is a last ditch weapon.


I'm considering the purchase of a popular two-barrel derringer that is chambered for .410 Shotgun Shells and has a 3 and 1/2 inch barrel. My problem is that I've heard that the .410 Bore Buckshot load has penetration problems out of such short barrels. Does anyone know if that is true? Thanks for the help!


it also may carry the name cobray or fmj. it fires (45 long colt or 410 shot shell). it must be private party or consignment.
